J’ai contruit un Cajon pour ma nièce adorable pour le donner au père Noël et qu’il lui donne ensuite.
Elle habite a 200 bornes de chez moi donc j’aurai pu m’épargner un chronopost au pôle nord mais c’est pas le sujet.
Avant de l’emballer dans un joli papier cadeau, j’ai pris soin d’enregistrer tout un tas de sons avec.
J’ai placé trois micros, un beat 52 derrière, un micro statique et un sm57 et commencé à taper à des endroits et des velocités diffrentes.
Puis tout a été soigneusement placé dans un drum rack d’Ableton, avec des contrôles macro pour gérer le volume de chaque micro plus quelques autres fonctionnalités.
Pourquoi avoir une caisse en bois quand on peut n’utiliser qu’un contrôleur, un ordinateur, Ableton, une carte son et un système d’amplification ?

I built a Cajon for my lovely niece to give to Santa so he can give it back to her afterwards.
She lives 200 kilometers from my home so I could have saved myself a chronopost to the North Pole but that’s not the point.
Before wrapping it in nice gift wrap paper, I took the time to record a whole bunch of sounds with it.
I placed three microphones, a Beta 52 behind, a condenser microphone and a sm57 and started hitting that at different places and velocities.
Then everything was neatly placed in an Ableton drum rack, with macro controls to manage the volume of each microphones plus a few other features.
Why needing a wooden box when you can only use a controller, a computer, Ableton, a sound card and an amplification system?
